October 11th heralds the UN International Day of the Girl Child and Amy Huberman teamed up with Irish company Hairy Baby Tees to create a t-shirt  to celebrate the day and raise money for Plan International Ireland.

Plan International Ireland helps girls across the globe who are struggling in poverty, in danger or without a voice and a choice to be and do what they want.

Myself & @hairybabytees serendipitously met on Twitter last year & our ‘Irish Born & Bread’ chari-tee was born & bred thereafter and this year we’ve joined up for ‘This Cailín Can’ chari-tee to support the UN International Day of the Girl Child on October 11th. The UN International Day of the Girl helps to celebrate the power of girls and to highlight the barriers they face globally. Plan International is an international charity fighting for the rights of children, especially girls, who live in the poorest regions of the world. Girls in the developing world are more likely to live in extreme poverty, denied access to school and often forced into marriage while still a child. There’s t-shirts for adults and kids and hoodies and totes fab totes available so tag your crew and spread the love! They are all available from the @hairybabytees website from now through October and ALL PROFITS will go to Plan International Ireland in their ongoing work to support young girls and their communities, and to help girls grow up in a world where they have a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.
