We were honoured to have the fantastic Sonya Lennon & Brendan Courtney drop by this morning, for a bit of a catch up, and to come to the rescue of some of our style-curious listeners.
Next year, the fashionistas will have been working together for a decade, and they are going from strength to strength. This is all thanks to their most recent project - fashion label, Lennon Courtney.
You can tell the duo are in love with what they do as Sonya feels they have "unlocked a new level" with their products now shipping to thirty countries worldwide. They say "women really want to enjoy getting dressed", and they're right; keep it simple. She summed it up with this statement, "It's the best job in the world". Now how can one top that??
Brendan gave us a bit of insight into his show on RTÉ, This Crowded House, which has just finished airing. Millennials are the hot topic, and he has since found himself as an agony uncle of sorts when he's in the supermarket.
Off The Rails gets a mention, and they also took us behind the scenes of The Restaurant, where we discovered one of them found the whole experience very therapeutic. But eighteen hours in a kitchen...really??
With their passion for the industry, amazing work ethic, and a sentence like "everything's easier coz we're here together", they really are the 'ying' to the others 'yang'.
The textline exploded with fashion queries, so Alison picked out a few like, "What to wear during the cold spell?", "What to wear instead of black?" and "What can a guy wear if he wants to stand out, but not be too OTT?". A little something for everyone and the answers were great.
There was also a bit of time throughout for #LennonCourtney to take the mick out of each other, and we absolutely loved it!
