Aidan O'Brien to saddle four runners in Saturday's 2000 Guineas

Irish trainer Aidan O'Brien will send over four colts to Newmarket for Saturday's 2000 Guineas, a race he has won for the last three years.

Odds-on favourite Pinatubo will face 14 rivals for the first Classic of the UK flat season, which will be held behind closed doors.

O'Brien has no Irish based jockeys available due to potential quarantine restrictions, so he's handed the ride aboard second favourite Arizona to Ryan Moore.

Frankie Dettori is to steer the O'Brien colt Wichita, with Adam Kirby on New World Tapestry and Tom Marquand to partner Royal Dornoch, a course and distance winner.

Pinatubo is trained by Charlie Appleby for Godolphin and will be ridden by William Buick.

The 3-year-old's place at the head of the market is as a result of an excellent juvenile campaign, which included six victories, among those the Dewhurst Stakes, which is a key trial.

O'Brien has won the race over a mile on 10 occasions. Arizona was second behind Pinatubo in the Dewhurst and claimed last year's Group 2 Coventry Stakes.

The other Group 1 winner in the line-up is the Andrew Balding trained Kameko, to be ridden by Irish jockey Oisin Murphy.

The 2000 Guineas will go to post at 3.35 on Saturday.
