Eddie Brennan is back on the sideline as coach of Dublin club Cuala

Eddie Brennan has taken up a new role coaching Dublin senior hurling club Cuala, just a week after leaving his position as manager of Laois.

The eight-time All Ireland winner with Kilkenny will work as a coach with the former All Ireland club champions under new manager John Twomey.

Brennan managed Laois to a shock victory over Dublin in last year's Championship, but the Metropolitans had their revenge in Leinster this year.

Laois then narrowly lost by a point to Clare in the qualifiers.

Dalkey outfit Cuala won the All Ireland club championship in 2017 and 2018.

They recently landed the county final in Dublin and have attracted sponsorship investment from Huawei Ireland.

Former Graigue Ballycallan star Brennan will now be tasked with helping Cuala to return to the summit of the club game.

Kilkenny's Ballyhale Shamrocks are the current All Ireland champions.
