An old Boeing 767 affectionately known as "the big yoke" is finally due to land on a County Sligo beach this evening.
The passenger jet has been shipped by barge from Shannon to Eniscrone where it will have a new lease of a life as luxury "glamping" accommodation.
The project - which has sparked the "Plane Sailing" hashtag - is the brain-child of local undertaker David McGowan.
The entrepreneur says they are placing a line around the tug that may be attached to a pair of diggers on the shore. If necessary they will pull the barge and the plane to shore.
David told the Anton Savage Show that poor sea conditions forced them to call off this morning's landing:
