A man has died in a County Mayo crash.
The 35-year-old died when his car left the road on the near Cloonfad and entered the Dalgan River at about eight o'clock this morning.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has since been removed to Mayo University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The road remains closed to traffic and local diversions are in place.

Meanwhile, a 30 year old woman has died following a collision in Newtowncunningham in Donegal yesterday.
The collision happened on the N13 at Castleforward at around 8:30am when two cars collided.
The driver of one of the cars, a 30-year-old woman, was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny General Hospital where she passed away this afternoon.
The driver of the second car, a man in his 40s, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Gardai in Letterkenny are also appealing for witnesses to come forward.
