Teachers and Gardai to lose out on pay increases

Thousands of Gardai and teachers will loose out on pay increases which are due to come into effect today.

The members of the GRA, AGSI and ASTI have all rejected the Lansdowne Road Agreement that increases pay for Public Service workers.

The remaining public service unions voted in favour of its measures.

Members of the ASTI - the country's largest secondary teachers union members will protest outside the Dail today over the issue.
