Paul McLoone has chosen the sixth album by Sonic Youth as his Classic Album of The Week.
'Goo' was released in 1990 and is considered their most accessible album. The second track, "Tunic (Song for Karen)", is about Karen Carpenter, a pop drummer and singer who died from anorexia. It imagines her in heaven, happy, and meeting new friends Dennis Wilson, Elvis Presley and Janis Joplin.
Paul will be playing tracks from it all week.
9 - Midnight Monday - Thursday.
