Public Notices Erected Around Ireland's First Nudist Beach
It turns out we've had a nudist beach in Ireland for some time.
It's Hawk Cliff at Dalkey in south Co. Dublin, but soon it's going to be well flagged as a beach where you can strip off and quite literally let it all hang out.
Notices are being erected over concerns about the suitability for children.
Pat Gallagher from the Irish Naturist Society says it's just about giving the heads up:
"That area has been used not only by nudists but also bathing-suit persons as well for many years. It's worked very well and has never been an issue between the two communities. It just indicates to anyone approaching the area, who wouldn't know, that they may encounter nude bathers when they go into the area."
