You may have spotted one or two of the thousands of brides that wore wedding dresses yesterday. If you saw them you may have thought one of the following things at some stage:
“Why is my colleague wearing a dress to work?”
*Sends all-staff email to figure out whats going on*
“Why is that bride walking around by herself?”
All followed by a final thought to say, “Jaysus that was random”.
And if you were in or nearby the brand new Tomahawk Steak House now open on East Essex Street you probably would have thought:
“Why is that man eating a steak in a wedding dress while wearing a tiara?”
“Why does he look exactly like that Undertones singer?”
We can answer these questions for you with three words. Wedding. Dress. Wednesday.
Wedding Dress Wednesday kicked off yesterday with Ian Dempsey saying yes to the dress all for the Irish Cancer Society and it continued with brides all around the country going about their day all while wearing their dresses all to raise funds for the great cause.
The entire day was incredible but about halfway through, something happened that we did not expect. Today FM and The Undertones Rockstar, Paul McLoone turned up for a very special and delicious lunch while wearing...wait for it... you’ll never guess... a wedding dress.
And he was beautiful.
From the second Paul set his brand new black boots on the beautiful timber floors of Tomahawk Restaurant he was treated like any beautiful bride deserves to be treated by their wonderful staff.

With a menu that makes us drool every time we look at it...seriously every time... *drools on keyboard*, Paul treated himself to a steak and a glass of red like every good bride deserves.
