In 2016 Ireland’s favourite all-lady, musical comedy trio, The Nualas, are celebrating their 21st birthday and to celebrate, they are hitting the road playing a plethora of venues all over Ireland

The Glitterbomb Tour kicks off on Friday the 5th of February in The Theatre Royal, Waterford and ahead of that all-important first date, Anne Gildea and Sue Collins joined Paul McCloone who was sitting in for Anton on Friday.

Did you know The Nualas were formed in a Dublin kitchen in May 1995, when Susan Collins, Anne Gildea and Tara Flynn got together over a cuppa? They say that The Nualas came from the idea that it was a bunch of country girls trying to be The Spice Girls and they did so until calling it a day in 2001.

The (New) Nualas with Anne Gildea (Brunette Nuala), Sue Collins (Blonde Nuala) and new(ish) girl Maria Tecce (Red-head Nuala) re-launched in Vicar Street in 2011 and they have been doing great since.

The Glitterbomb Tour is a mix of old and new material and tapping into our big year, they have a song about 1916 in there
