The ‘Dublin at Christmas’ Market will run from 12 noon today until 8pm on Tuesday 23nd December.

It's a doubly special day for the capital as Grafton Street will also be lit up from 5pm today when Laurence Kinlan, who plays Elmo in Love/Hate (one of the few remaining characters from season 5), helps turn on the iconic Christmas lights.

So what is The ‘Dublin at Christmas’ Market?

More than 60 trade concessions will be located in traditional wooden chalets along the outside of St Stephen’s Green Park between Grafton Street and Merrion Row.

It’s going to be the perfect place to pick up some handmade gifts, woodcrafts, jams and preserves, accessories. It's also a great excuse to head down for lunch every day for a seasonal bite to eat: charcoal grills, crepes, bratwurst, chocolate fountain, Gluhwein, etc - you name it, it's all going to be there!

The Market will be free to the public and open daily from 12 noon to 8pm.

There will also be entertainment from local choirs and carollers to help get visitors into the festive spirit.

Is it ok to start counting the days now?!
