Pink Floyd were sonically just about the greatest band of all time. But did you know that their drummer has a secret solo project in his glove compartment? An album of car engine noise? And we bet you didn't link it to seals turning up in the back gardens of flooded Limerick homes?

Well, thanks to our own Ronan Casey and Neil Delamere that incredible vista may well be a real thing.

Ronan joined Neil to go through some of the funniest stories from the local papers over the past week, have a listen here:

The lads started on a serious note with praise for the role of local papers during the floods, and a pertinent question from the Connacht Tribune in light of the 'Kinvara trench' which diverted millions of gallons of water saving dozens of homes.

They then veered into very strange territory indeed, from seals, Pink Floyd, engine noises and Nick Mason to how to make hooch if you're in prison to jive-dancing, tractor-driving, jive-talking 100 year old men to just what would happen to a medium-sized town if it were hit by a North Korean H-bomb.

This lead us to set a challenge for every Irish local newspaper - demonstrate to us - in print - what would happen if a nuclear bomb fell on your county towns and villages! Go to Nukemap to find out more.
