I was sitting in traffic yesterday behind a big lorry that said McBurney Refrigeration on the side, and I thought, what a great oxymoron for a business name.

There are some really funny business names around Dublin, like Nobs and Knockers and Lino Richie Flooring and of course, Soon Fatt Chinese Take Away in Bray is famous for its catchy name!

Listeners of The Early Breakfast were able to chime in with some great business names from around the country:

 

  • “Chipper in Carlow called Cod Almighty, Paula!”

 

  • “Thai Tanic restaurant in Belfast Paula!”

 

  • “Hi Paula. Coffee shop in Carrick on Shannon is owned and run by Damien Coffey!”
