In our weekly throwback feature on the Early Breakfast, we play a song at 5.55 every Thursday morning chosen by one of the Early Breakfast listeners. It's a song you might not hear every day (or ever!) on the radio and fancy hearing for a particular reason. 

This morning was John in Kells' choice. 

John was 13 when The Police played Leixlip Castle, along with U2, Squeeze and Q-Tips in July, 1980. Of course his mother would never have allowed him to go, so his only way there was to tell a bold faced lie. 'I'm staying in my friend's house Mam', was the excuse. 

John was there, and The Police played 'So Lonely' and in John's words, 'it was magical!'.
