Sinead O'Connor has revealed that she is working on a book in which she plans to discuss her former lovers and their sexual performances.

Details of the book came out in the States earlier this week, where the book will be published by Penguin Group publishing house Blue Rider Press. On this side of the Atlantic the memoir will be published by Penguin Ireland.

In a statement made about the book, Sinead said "I've never stopped expressing myself in my music, and now, with a book, and I look forward to dishing the sexual dirt on everyone I've ever slept with".

Blue Rider Press said the book will "cover the singer's turbulent upbringing in Ireland; her breakout as an artist with 1987's 'The Lion and the Cobra' and her nine subsequent albums; her controversial opinions and actions, as well as her personal and musical struggles and triumphs, through the present day."

Unlike many musical and celebrity memoirs, O'Connor has chosen not to involve a ghost writer, as she herself is an accomplished writer.

The book is scheduled to hit shelves in March 2016.
