Once upon a time the John Lewis had feels, but now it seems like they've ditched the heart and gone for the promotion (yes we know it's still an ad but like literally).
The Elton John one is wonderful but has a bang of tour promo video off it. And it's probably just spliced a load of clips from the forthcoming Elton biopic.
THIS is all heart.
Directed by Phil Beastall it cost 50 quid and Phil re-released it to showcase what can be done with a minimum =budget, lots of heart and a good story.
He describes it as, "A short film about a man counting down the days to Christmas so he can continue his yearly tradition sparked by a tragic moment from the past."
It really is something else.
Simple but hugely powerful.
