With the news that Niall Horan likes to feel at home with his backstage rider. His requests include, Barry's Tea, Clonakilty Pudding and sausages, and Haribo jellies.

Not too strange?

Well here are some of the better batty requests:

Prince has been known to ask for a doctor with a vitamin B12 shot to be on call at all times. He also won’t go near a plate of food that isn’t covered with clingfilm.

Eminem has in the past insisted the concert organisers build a wooden pond for his koi carp.

James Blunt clearly likes to get trollied. His previous Riders requested 120 beers, 12 bottles of Magners, four bottles of vodka, three bottles of white wine and two bottles of champagne.

Motley Crue: notable items requested include a submachine gun, a detailed schedule of local AA meetings and – naturally – a 12-foot boa constrictor!

The Rolling Stones: shepherd’s pie, a bottle of HP and a full-size snooker table for Keith and a running area backstage for Mick.

Lily Allen: 12 packets of Monster Munch.

Peter Gabriel was not after a happy ending: In one of his tour riders, the former Genesis singer requested a one-hour female-only relaxing deep muscle massage in what he described as “a hippy style.” The person giving the massage was not to be a sports therapist or chiropractor and was asked to endure an hour in an incensed-filled room. According to Gabriel, “Soothing + Relaxing + Calming = Happy Artiste"

The most famous is probably Van Halen’s: They demanded a large bowl of  M&Ms with the brown ones removed. Sounds like a great tale of rock egos, until you hear this was just a test to check that venue bosses read the fine print right to the bottom of the list!
