I’m very excited to play this – this is the very first single from Blur’s upcoming album The Magic Whip. Blur played a secret gig for 300 lucky fans in London on Friday night – and it was the first time they played songs from the album, live... The show was also filmed for an exclusive stream via Beats by Dr. Dre - that’ll be shown Wednesday of this week at 8pm. The Magic Whip will be out on 24th April and it’s their first album in 16 years – can you believe it’s been that long?! Blur will perform at Hyde Park on Saturday 20th June – they are the only band to perform there a impressive four times! This is “Lonesome Street”, by Blur – and it’s Monday’s Daily Download.
