Today’s Daily Download is from a beautiful talented singer called Laura Marling. This is the title track from Laura Marling’s new album called Short Movie - the album will be out on 20th March. This is Laura’s fifth album in seven years – and would you believe she’s not even 25 yet. What am I doing with my life!!! She said “I realised that I hadn’t been in place for longer than two or three weeks since I was 16” she explains “I thought I wonder what will happen if I try and root myself somewhere? Look back over the past eight years”. This is her first self-produced album - and she’s no stranger to accolades - she has been nominated for the Mercury Prize three times; she has also been nominated for two Brit Awards (winning best female in 2011) Her last album Once I Was An Eagle, released in 2013, entered the Irish Album Chart at #3. This is “Short Movie” by Laura Marling and it’s Friday’s Daily Download.
