Other comparisons mention Elastica and Hole. Whatever they’re like, I think they’re great, some proper rocky pop for a Fridayafternoon. Ellie Rowsell is a mesmerising front woman, beautiful to look at and even better to listen to. If you don’t believe me, get yourself to Marlay Park; they play Longitude Festival on the 19th of June after a US tour. The band started as a duo with Roswell and Joff Oddie, after the first EP, they were joined by Drummer Joel Amey and bassist Theo Ellis to complete Wolf Alice, a name taken from a short story by Angela Carter. The debut album My Love is Cool is scheduled for release on 22nd June 2015.
