Singer-songwriter Dallas Green, who records his solo work under the moniker City and Colour (see what he did there?) first made a name for himself as the singer and guitarist for Alexisonfire. As his notoriety grew, Green began releasing his own tunes via the web, finally compiling them into an album in 2005. Since then, he has put out four studio records, all of which have been certified platinum in his native Canada. On 9th October, City and Colour is releasing If I Should Go Before You, from which this track, “Wasted Love,” comes from. He said “‘Wasted Love’ is one of two songs that I wrote and demoed without the band. The guys were literally learning it on the spot while we were tracking in the studio. I can hear that spontaneous energy in the finished product.” He plays The Helix in Dublin on 22nd February.
