Today’s Daily Download comes from Cork band The Hard Ground. The Hard Ground are Marlene Enright, Pat Carey, Davie Ryan and Hugh Dillon. This track “Pucker” is from their album Triptych, which is a combination of the band’s last three EPs. The song was released in March, their debut album Broken Conversations was released in 2012 and they spent the bones of 2013 touring Ireland and the UK. Just to explain a few things here – I’ll break it down for you: a triptych is a work of art that is divided into three sections, or three carved panels which are hinged together and can be folded shut or displayed open. The album will be released in three stages beginning in April 2014. This is “Pucker” from The Hard Ground and it’s Monday’s Daily Download.
