Nathaniel Rateliff is a Denver-born singer-songwriter. He is joined by his seven-piece soul band The Night Sweats. They made their debut television performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where the band not only won over Fallon but also Questlove, The Roots and countless new fans. The band can also count Laura Marling, Bon Iver, Robert Plant, Marcus Mumford and George Ezra among their fans. Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats’ self-titled debut album, which has been produced by Richard Swift (The Black Keys, The Shins), is released tomorrow on Stax Records. Whilst drawing inspiration from Sam & Dave and Otis Redding, multi-instrumentalist Rateliff and his indie-soul band have put his own unique twist on the genre.
