Today’s Daily Download comes from Delorentos, and it’s called “Home Again”. I’ve been told that it “impacts” on the 19th June – which I’m pretty sure is modern speak for “released” on 19th June... It’s from their current album Night Becomes Light – and it’s the third single to be released from that album. Night Becomes Light is Delorentos’ fifth album release, and it went into number 5 in the Irish Album Charts when it was released in October 2014. Delorentos performed recently at “All the Young Dudes”, the night in Vicar Street for Tony Fenton, and Kieran McGuinness from the band became quite emotional on stage, talking about how Tony had supported them over the years... they did a great version of Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” as well... Kieran also revealed the meaning behind this song, he said: “The song is written about the day I found out I was going be a father. I remember feeling a million feelings but overwhelmingly like I had this huge secret that I had to keep for a few months - this massive life changing news. I remember feeling like everyone around me were like salarymen, working away at their lives, while I was going through this huge change. I walked around the city feeling like I was different.” This is “Home Again” by Delorentos and it’s Thursday’s Daily Download.
