Today’s Daily Download is a great song by Mark Ronson, it features the vocals of Keyone Starr and it’s called “I Can’t Lose”. It’s taken from his latest album Uptown Special, which was released in January of this year. The same album that is home to his smash hit Uptown Funk, which spent 14 weeks at No 1 in the US, seven weeks at number 1 in the UK, it sold more than 10 million copies, and is the most streamed track of 2015 so far. Not a bad feat! This track is equally as catchy, Ronson moved to New York from London when he was 8 and started DJing in his teenage years. He has produced so many people in his career including Lily Allen, Adele, Lana Del Rey, Robbie Williams, Christina Aguilera, Paul McCartney, Duran Duran, Kaiser Chiefs, Black Lips, Nas, Lil’ Wayne, A$AP Rocky – and what a varied style of acts as well. He’s headlining the Other Stage this Friday in Glastonbury – where he’ll be performing with a full band, and not just doing a DJ set. I’m definitely going to catch that on the BBC coverage over the weekend... This is Mark Ronson feat.
