Today’s Daily Download comes from Electro-pop trio Years & Years, and it’s called “Shine”. This single will be released on 3rd July, and the band are fresh from a cracking set at Glastonbury last weekend, and more gig news - this morning it was announced that they’re coming to the Olympia in Dublin on 6th November, they also play Longitude festival on Saturday 18th July. This is taken from their debut album Communion which will be released on 10th July. Band members Olly, Emre and Mikey were recipients of this year’s BBC Sound of 2015 – which has seen past winners such as Sam Smith, Haim, Adele, and Ellie Goulding. This is the third single from the upcoming album, after Desire, and King, which topped the charts in Ireland, gained gold status – AND got 50 million streams and 30 million views on the video. Their last two UK tours sold out – as did their upcoming UK tour – so I’m sure their Irish date will follow suit. This is Years & Years with “Shine” and it’s Tuesday’s Daily Download.
