Today’s Daily Download comes from a band from the US called Matrimony – now if you’re a fan of Girls you might have heard this track... I’m talking about the TV show obviously – not the gender! It's called "Giant". Matrimony are from North Carolina and they’re fronted by husband-and-wife duo Ashlee Hardee Brown and Jimmy Brown – and the remaining band members are brothers of Ashlee, Jordan and CJ, so it really is a family affair. It’s taken from their 2014 album Montibello Memories which is named after the Hardee family household, where the Hardees say “multiple generations of friends and family all sang and played together”. Jimmy Brown was actually born in Belfast and travelled to the states as part of an ex-pat band – Jordan, Ashlee’s brother set them up – and the rest as they say is history.
