It’s been eight years since Modest Mouse released new material – and now they’re back with a new album called Strangers to Ourselves, their last album was 2007’s We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank. This song is called “The Best Room” and it’s the third release to date from this album. Never strangers to unique song titles, Modest Mouse feature such names on the album like “Lampshades on Fire”, “The Ground Walks with Time in a Box”, “God is an Indian and You're an Asshole” and “The Tortoise and the Tourist”. This is more of a basic title but a great song nonetheless, and according to the band, the subject matter tackles the heavy issue of “the degradation of western civilisation”.
