Singer Jade Castrinos has parted ways with Edward Sharpe + The Magnetic Zeros.

Fans had questioned her absence from recent live shows and the singer explained her departure on her personal Instagram page. She said: "for seven years i sang and wrote music with edward sharpe. They voted me off of tour a week before they left, via email. lol"

Not very personal, but not the worst way to get fired. Here’s a few examples that might make Jade feel better:

Ron Reyes from the band Black Flag was fired onstage.

Jimi Hendrix was fired from one of his first bands...because he was “showing off too much” ...Jimi showing off? That is RIDICULOUS...

En route to a gig in 1968 Pink Floyd fired Syd Barrett by simply deciding NOT to pick him up

Morrissey left a note under the windscreen wiper of The Smith’s bassist Andy Rourke's car which read "Andy, you have left The Smiths. Good luck and goodbye, Morrissey."

Dave Lombardo from Slayer found he had been fired online

Bernard Butler found out he had been bumped from Suede when he rocked up to the studio and they wouldn’t let him in! OUCH!

Mike Love decided to fire the rest of The Beach Boys by not inviting them on the rest of their 50th anniversary tour. Classy guy.

Guitarist Dave Mustaine was fired from Metallica by the band dropping him off at a bus stop and telling him to go home! Lars Ullrich said in his autobiography:"Not only was he out of the band, but he had to sit on a bus for four days and think about it!"

Two early members of  Destiny's Child LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Robertson found out they had been terminated when they saw the video for 1999 hit 'Say My Name' and just happened to notice they weren't in it. Awkward.

Yeah...I don't remember them either.
