Following last week’s tempting initial line-up announcement, comes a second wave of juicy acts bound for Forbidden Fruit this June bank holiday weekend.
POD & Bulmers are giddy to announce the appearance of pioneering DJ, producer, and legend of underground dance music, RICHIE HAWTIN, the master who has melted minds with his impeccable techno for a quarter century, and is making his massively anticipated first return to our shores in four years to play Forbidden Fruit.
We’re delighted to welcome back prolific producer and phenomenal remix artist JAMIE XX, the enigmatic beat-maker and knob shaker from The xx. Dancefloor heavyweights GROOVE ARMADA will join us for a superstylin’ DJ set, playing some of electronic music’s most enduring tracks, along with the always-innovative and experimental Crosstown Rebels founder, and another of the most influential pioneers and architects of the growth of underground music, Damian Lazarus, playing his live show as DAMIAN LAZARUS & THE ANCIENT MOONS.
Continuing in the electronic category, we’ll have masters of melodic electronica, renowned production duo MOUNT KIMBIE, joining us for an epic DJ set, and house duo WAZE & ODYSSEY. along with fellow Londoners DISCIPLES.
For the very first taste of Forbidden Fruit’s indie line-up, all the way from LA comes extraordinary vocalist and songwriter KELELA, who has grabbed the attention of critics and contemporaries, including Solange Knowles and Björk. And our very own ever-popular BOOKA BRASS BAND, who have just released their amazing debut EP.
Stay tuned for more announcements on our indie and comedy line-ups, as well as many more top-quality acts of a similar flavour to above.
