Today concert promoters MCD issued an important notice for parents, guardians and fans heading to Marley Park on Friday 3 July, to see Swedish DJ Avicii.

This is a strictly over 18s event and anyone under the age of 18 will be refused entry to the concert, without a refund and yes, ID is required.

If you are under 18 and have already bought your ticket, you can obtain a full ticket refund before 5pm on Friday 26 June.

Promoters say there will be a strict No Alcohol policy on public and private transport.

There is also a zero tolerance policy regarding alcohol consumption or any illegal or anti-social behavior  in public areas.

Those who arrive intoxicated will be refused entry, without a refund.  

“Searches will be conducted on all patrons entering the arena by concert staff upon entry. Any person refusing to be searched may be refused entry. Gardai will be on duty and will also be conducting searches at both point of entry and throughout the arena. Alcohol and anything which may be considered dangerous will not be permitted, and any persons found in possession of these items will be required to surrender them before they are allowed enter” Garda Superintendent Peter Duff, Tallaght Garda station stated today.
