What began the day after Jimi Hendrix died in 1970, with a mere 1,500 attendees and a fee of just £1 - including free milk from the farm, has emerged 45 year later as the greatest music festival in the world!

Many Irish festival goers have packed up their tents and boots to make the pilgrimage for what is seen as the musical mecca for any fan.

We could have chosen 50 moments but to get you in the vibe here just 5 of our favourite Glastomoments!

Muse, Pyramid Stage, 2004 - 'New Born'

Muse or to give them their full title Music Marmite divide many people, but theirs no doubting they put on a good show!

 Radiohead, Pyramid Stage, 1997 - 'Creep'

Just 11 days after releasing their critically acclaimed album Ok Computer, Radiohead stormed Glastonbury in 1997. They've since spoken out about the technical problems at the beginning of their set resulting in them believing it hadn't gone very well, but it's widely regarded as a seminal performance in the history of the festival and pivotal point in their career.
