Prince re-signs with Warner then releases 'The Breakdown'
He once wrote the word 'slave' on his face to protest the contract he once had with the label, the singer has inked a new deal, promising a new album and a digitally remastered deluxe edition of his classic album Purple Rain, according to The Guardian.
A press release said, the new deal will provide Prince with the rights to the master recordings of his classic albums in “an exclusive global licensing partnership that covers every album released from 1978 into the ‘90s”
And after announcing the deal Prince released a new song online called The Breakdown.
It’s a stunning ballad but at one point towards the end it does sound like someone stood on a very sensitive body part! There's a note in there that God himself couldn't reach:
