Our song of the week this week is a former daily download, and I liked it so much I decided to bring it back for a longer run this time. It comes from Lucy Rose – and it was the first single released from her second album Work it Out, which is out in July of this year. Her debut album Like I Used To was out in 2012. Lucy would probably be most recognisable by her work with fellow UK musicians Bombay Bicycle Club, where she appeared on their album A Different Kind of Fix. Lucy Rose herself gave some background on the song, saying:

"Our Eyes is one of the first songs where I really pushed myself out of my comfort zone and tried to write something different from songs I’ve written before. The song is about when someone has done something that has annoyed or upset you, but as soon as your eyes meet you can’t help but smile and forget about it all and make up".
