Song of the Week this week, comes from Blackpool's Best; Rae Morris. Her family know her as Rachel Ann, we know her as the girl who brought us "Under the Shadows" late last year. She has since released her debut album Unguarded and its perfect mix of electro, experimental pop, with a little gem in the middle called "Love Again"; our Song of the Week.

Morris is definitely one to watch, BBC named her in the Sound of 2015 longlist alongside James Bay, Years & Years and Soak, and Bombay Bicycle Club saw fit to use her captivating vocals in three songs from their last album, most notably "Luna". She's a hard worker and she's going places. She spent the last three years prepping her album with Ariel Rechtshaid, who bagged himself a Grammy for Vampire Weekend's Modern Vampires of the City, produced for Haim, and is currently working on the second solo album Brandon Flowers. Together with Rae Morris they put together a mini masterpiece in Unguarded. And in between creating her 12 track LP, Morris has toured with Lianne La Havas, Bombay Bicycle Club, Tom Odelle and George Ezra. In addition to this wonderful experience and guidance, Morris has a sparkling talent, which she has been cultivating since the age of four when she first started playing piano.

She draws on the influence one of the great matriarchs of music Kate Bush, and the advice of Coldplay's Chris Martin who told her "Know who you are and what you want to present to the world". She seems to have a good handle on it, but I'll let you be the judge of that.
