Song of the week comes from Johnny Marr, and it’s called “Candidate”. It’s the fourth single to be taken from Marr’s album “Playland”, and it’s due for release on 26th June. Johnny Marr is the second most famous person to emerge as a solo artist from Manchester band The Smiths, I think we all know who the first is... He’s receiving excellent reports on his live shows – punters and Smiths fans will be glad to know that he mixes his set list up with solo tracks and Smiths classics... He’s on tour with Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds – and The Who, respectively this summer – so a lot of talented musicians in the one space. This is Johnny Marr with “Candidate” and it’s our song of the week.
