Fresh from his performance on James Corden's Late Late Show in the US - Gavin James has announced that he will release a new EP called “For You”, which features this song, it’s also called “For You” and I’ve been listening to it all morning... He recently became the first artist EVER to sell out Dublin's Olympia before even releasing a studio album. He’s currently on tour with Kodaline trekking around the States and Canada. He'll also open for Ed Sheeran in Croke Park on 24th July - Ed himself gave the best kind of promotion for Gavin, last year he tweeted millions of Twitter followers, saying "record companies - if you don't take notice of Gavin James, you're missing out". Well, he's come on from strength to strength - according to Gavin, this song was written as a love song to a relationship on the verge of ending, which you'd like to stay in just a little longer. How poignant! Gavin has music in his bones as his great grandparents were both famous Irish Opera singers and had their own albums released in the early 1900s – I wonder was there an old style version of Ed Sheeran around at the time, singing their praises!
