So what’s the diddly?
If the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran islands, had a capital city…it would be Doolin! Nestled between the 3 most beautiful spots in Ireland and the wild Atlantic coast, Doolin is a gorgeous little village in West Clare that is set to come alive to the sound of music from the 12th to the 15th of June when The Doolin Folk Festival dances into town. This mid-June festival taking, inspiration from the great festivals of the past like Lisdoonvarna, will transform this small coastal community, on the edge of Europe into a Mecca of traditional music. Sure look at the lads...they even make lying on grass look like craic..

You had me at Doolin! So who’s going to be there?
Well how does this float your fiddle? From Irish folk heroes like Sharon Shannon and Stockton’s Wing, to the beat-driven vibes of Moxie and Aldoc; from the intimacy of outstanding soloists like Paddy Keenan, Tóla Custy, Floriane Blancke and Dermot Byrne joined by equally talented accompanists like Daoiri Farrell, Brendan O’Reagan and Cyril O’Donoghue, to the firework arrangements on display from the likes of We Banjo 3 and Fiddlers’ Bid; from the singer-songwriter tradition of Declan O’Rourke, Mick Flannery, Luka Bloom (in O’Sahara) and The Lost Brothers, to the more plugged-in sounds of David Hope and Fiach Moriarty. Here have a look sure...

It should be called the DROOLIN’ Folk Festival…amiright?…so where should I go?
Yes, quite!..ahem…anyways…the grounds of Hotel Doolin is where it’s at. Music Sessions will take place in Fitz’s bar at Hotel Doolin all weekend during the folk festival AND This is the first year of the additional music stage – The White Horse Sessions Stage. Oh and I suggest you sit down for the next part… they even have their own Dooliner Craft Beer. So get used to seeing this...

*swoon
Aaand…of course there’s The Aran islands, The Cliffs Of Moher, The Aillwee Caves, The Burren, The Small Irish Music Museum and wait for it…
What?...WHAT MORE CAN THERE BE??
