The Taoiseach says yesterday's Budget is the first step at easing taxes on the 'squeezed middle'.

But Enda Kenny has denied claims that the Budget did nothing to help those on lower incomes.

He was commenting as opposition TDs had their first chance to question him on yesterday's Budget announcements.
