Almost one in three parents, 30%, never check their children'Â’s behaviour online.

Parents are being urged to be vigilant about cyber-bullying – as new figures show a drop in monitoring online behaviour.

Young people who are affected by bullying online, are being urged not to react – and to keep proof of what’s been said.

Juliette Gash reports;

Four in ten nine year olds say they were bullied in the past year.

The ISPCC has launched its Blue Shield campaign to tackle bullying for the month of March.

Kwabna Wiredu (pictured above with Rory Cowan from Mrs. Brown's boys and Muireann Mulholland from St. Oliver's Community School in Drogheda) suffered racist bullying when he was in primary school.

He says anyone who's bullied should speak up to someone they trust;

 Hozier, a new Shield Ambassador said from America, where he is currently on tour; “The work that is done by parents, teachers and volunteers at the ISPCC to stamp out bullying is to be commended. By wearing the ISPCC blue Shield we are showing that we are standing up to bullies and the whole issue of bullying”.
