1 in 4 Irish people feel they have no one to share their troubles with.
That's according to new research carried out for Samaritans.
The survey found 1 in 5 of us feel embarrassed about opening up, while other reasons included feeling judged or being seen as weak.
Samaritans today launches its Talk to us campaign - highlighting the group's listening service for those who need to talk through their problems.
