Police in Munich say the man involved in last night's shopping-mall shooting wasn't known to them.

The 18-year-old German-Iranian, who lived in the city, opened fire yesterday-evening killing nine people, including teenagers.

He was later found dead nearby and it's believed he shot himself.

16 people were injured - with at least three of them said to be in a critical condition this morning.
