Irish hotel prices increased by 10 per-cent last year to an average of 103 euro per-night.

According to new research from Hotels-dot-com, Dublin experienced the highest rise in prices - up 13 per-cent - year-on-year to an average of 109 euro per night.

It is the fourth consecutive year that hotel prices have continued to recover.

The findings show Killarney in county Kerry is the destination where travellers paid the most to stay - at 111 euro per night - up 5 per-cent.

Lizann Peppard, Spokesperson for Hotels-dot-com, says despite the latest increase, Ireland remains a great value destination for both domestic and international travellers.
