100 new high skilled jobs are on the way for Westmeath.
US medical devices company Teleflex is creating the jobs over the next three years at its operation in Athlone, bringing its Irish workforce to around 435.
The company, based outside Philadelphia, announced the expansion plans after a visit by Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton, who is on a 5 day trade mission to the US.
Teleflex, which employs 176 people in Limerick and 160 in Athlone, makes medical devices at its Irish operations and has also research and development facilities here.
