The four bus models come with 4G wifi, powerpoints and extra leg room, in a bid to attract commuters away from their cars.

The Transport Minister says disabled commuters will still have to give 24 hours' notice to get on the new Bus Eireann buses, but that they are all wheelchair accessible.

Earlier this week, campaigners called on politicians to make accessibility an election issue - along with other problems faced by those with disabilities.

Bus Eireann's added 116 high-spec vehicles to its fleet, in a 50 million euro investment.
