A 14 year old boy is in critical condition after collapsing and becoming wedged on a railing in Kinsale in Co Cork.
It's understood he was trapped in the railing for several minutes at the Orchards Estate near Compass Hill around 7 yesterday evening, and he suffered serious breathing difficulties.
Neighbours managed to free the teenager and emergency services tried to resuscitate him at the scene, before he was taken to the intensive care unit at Cork University Hospital.
Gardai are investigating, but say they're treating it as a tragic accident.
