The 19 year-old woman who was killed in a car crash in Donegal in the early hours of this morning is the daughter of Fine Gael County Councillor Martin Harley.

Kym Harley was a front seat passenger in the car which hit a hedge and overturned at around twenty five past four this morning in Ballybofey - just 500 metres from her home.

The 19-year-old man - who was driving the car - suffered minor injuries.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
