19,000 cigarettes have been seized at Dublin Airport.
The smuggled Marlboro brand cigarettes were uncovered when detector dog 'Lottie' was drawn to the suitcase of a Moldovan man who had arrived on a flight from Chisnau via Istanbul.
The contraband cigarettes have a retail value of 9,500 euro - representing a loss to the Exchequer of around €7,000.
A man appeared in court earlier charged in connection with the find where he was remanded in custody to appear in court again on Tuesday.
