A memorial service will take place in Dundalk in Co Louth this evening to mark the first anniversary of Adrian Donohoe's murder.
The 41-year-old Detective Garda was shot dead during a robbery at the Lordship Credit Union on January 25th last year.

His family will be joined by the Justice Minister and Garda Commissioner for the mass in St Joseph’s Redemptorist Church at 7.30.
A candle lit vigil will take place outside Lordship Credit union tomorrow night at 9.30, to mark the time of the fatal shooting.
Gardai are to give an update on the murder investigation and renew their appeal for information this afternoon.
No arrests have yet been made, although Gardai have identified the five man gang involved in the robbery.
